I always tend to avoid lip liners as they are not that smooth and create harsh lines and look messy if not applied accurately. But this is no more a problem; Dior’s new RougeLiner Automatic Lip Liner is a smooth, creamy glide-on formula that glides easily on you lips.

This pencil creates a perfect makeup by giving you the most clear-cut line and its creamy texture allows you to create a soft, subtle line or a bold dramatic line! If you haven’t tried this Dior’s new RougeLiner Automatic Lip Liner and aspires to get the one, you’ll have to shell $23.

Have you ever thought that why the 34-year-old Oscar-winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow still look so young. The actress was spotted buying a cream that has snake venom to preserve her youthful looks.

The ‘Shakespeare in Love’ actress swears by an anti-wrinkle skin cream made from serpent poison to keep her skin looking young and vibrant.

Gwyneth, who is the regular visitor of Beverly Hills Sonya Dakar Skin Clinic, bought a wide range of Ultra Lux 9 products - including one cream which contains the venom.

A source said,

It’s not Botox. It is just a cream that has the venom of a snake in it. The cream is part of the facial treatments available at the spa.

But don’t think that Gwyneth is the only celebrity to try out such uncanny beauty treatments. Debbie Harry is also one of them. She has been injecting herself with sheep embryos since she was 35.

The Blondie singer said,

I thought, ‘Wow, this is so logical - you have fresh cells’. I was the youngest person that had ever done it.

Well, they are celebrities and they can do anything!

Lip glosses are most in demand and the market has tremendously exploded during the recent years. Lip glosses are every teen’s choice, but still getting the color of your choice is very difficult. But Prescriptives can custom color blend a shade according to your choice. You can create any custom shade: a kiwi-flavored, sheer coral gloss with glitter; a mint-flavored or full-pigment dark red gloss with chrome finish. Prescriptives Custom Blend Lip Gloss will cost you $26.

Christmas is knocking right around the corner. With that in mind, I am sure all of us are going to be busy shopping around and looking for cool gifts for our significant other or rather, our loved ones. The Guerlain Sublime Face and Body powder makes an excellent Christmas gift.

Although, the price might be a little upscale - 33 pounds, I think this is still worth buying. The shimmering caused by the mini pearl on the bottle makes the powder all the more attractive. The gold color is very appealing as well.

The bottle has a very unique appearance. The shape narrows down and makes it look cooler. This powder bottle adds an old school Hollywood touch to your decor. However, it only has about 0.35 ounce of the powdery stuff in it. Guerlain also makes other products like the Guerlain Metorites, Guerlain Kiss Kiss.

The day may not be far off when you visit a high end spa, you may no longer see humans interacting with you. You may find robots shampooing your hair and giving you great massages and facials instead of beauticians.

Robots are replacing all services these days; you have robots to do your household chores, robots to brew you coffee, robots to service you on restaurants and now, to give you relaxing fine massages! The Waseda Asahi Oral Rehabilitation Robot 1 (WAO-1) robot was developed by the Japanese researchers to give therapeutic facial massages for patients having jaw-related medical problems who need facial massages as a part of their treatment.

The movements of the arms of the robot are controlled by a complex set of algorithms designed to emulate massages and six sensors at the base of the arms measure and adjust the pressure applied by the golf sized ceramic spheres. The technology is more refined than those in electric massage chairs because the facial bone structure is much more fragile than back or spine bones.
The clinical trials of using these robots for massages are to begin in November. Once the government safety panel approves this, they may soon be a regular feature in spas and hospitals.

However good the massages turn out to be, it can never replace the soft, warm and the personal touch of humans. What do you think?

Most women would not admit it but it is true. We do find our favorite lipstick irresistible and I’m not talking about the shade or the gloss here. Many women cannot stop themselves from flicking their tongues across their lips for the ‘fruity flavor’ which is the USP of most leading cosmetic brands. Little do they know that with every ‘helping’, they are taking in a dangerous amount of lead which can play havoc on their bodies in the long run owing to its well-known toxic effects. This becomes a bigger cause of concern when little girls try on their mama’s make-up and preen in front of the mirror and more so with pregnant and lactating mothers.

A recent study by a consumer group revealed that 61% of lipsticks contained significant amount of lead in spite of FDA specifying the ’safe limit’ to less than 0.02 ppm (parts per million ). This category includes reputed and ‘high-end’ brands like L’Oreal, Cover Girl and Christian Dior which contained 0.03-0.65 ppm of lead. The study was part of The Campaign for Safe Cosmetics.

Till now I had known Victoria’s Secret as a lingerie brand only. Not anymore! The brand is back in the world of cosmetics with its relaunch of collection of bath and body products known as ‘the Secret Garden collection’. No wonders, the name suits the product range.

Way back, when these products were launched they were a ‘must-have’ for every fashioniasta. Women were crazy about these and I guess they’ll be the same once again. The new collection is updated; it not only has a new package and improved formulas but also eleven new scents. So, we have a good reason to get the package. If you still doubt the range, you can assure yourself with the fact that the brand is known for its ultimate lingerie collections. Secondly, we believe in trying out every new product because our search for the best never ends.
