I can’t kick start my day without my daily dose of the caffeine fix but am hard pressed for time when it comes to brewing my cup of java. I have come across a solution that’ll save my time and at the same time get the coffee kick I need to keep me on my toes all day.
Thinkgeek has come out with a caffeinated bar of soap called Shower Shock. The makers claim that the soap releases caffeine which gets absorbed into the users system giving the same kick he gets when he drowns a couple of cups of coffee.
Shower Shock is an all vegetable based glycerine soap scented with peppermint oil and infused with caffeine anhydrous, each bar of Shower shock contains approximately 12 servings/showers per 4 ounce bar with 200 milligrams of caffeine per serving.
Jennifer Kuropkat of Think Geek says:
The caffeine is absorbed through the skin and into the bloodstream. It has exactly the same effect as if you were drinking coffee. Your blood pressure and pulse rate will increase, making your brain feel more alert and awake.
Shower shock costs $7, a little steep over the normal soaps I guess, whether it’s the peppermint or the caffeine in the soap, the soap is sure to get you moving after the shower since it is infused with mint and citrus, you’ll not end up smelling like a moving cup of freshly brewed coffee!!
